UCLA (The University of California, Los Angeles) is part of the ten-campus University of California (UC) system. UC campuses are positioned throughout California, offer hundreds of major choices, and are recognized nationally as strong academic institutions.
UCLA students enroll in a full-time schedule and attend daytime classes. We do not offer part-time enrollment or evening coursework for our undergraduate degree programs. UCLA Extension offers academic and professional development courses to non-UCLA degree seeking students and options that include part-time, night, weekend, and satellite locations.
UCLA admits undergraduate students (seeking Bachelor of Arts--B.A. or Bachelor of Science--B.S. degrees) in two categories: freshman and junior-level transfer.
Because of the high volume of applications from first-time degree seeking students, we do not admit students for second bachelor's degrees at UCLA. If you already have a bachelor's degree, UCLA offers many graduate and professional degree programs that may be of interest to you.
