UCLA has more than a dozen wide-ranging programs that touch the lives of hundreds of thousands of returning veterans and current military service members and their families. As thousands of veterans return from overseas, many are continuing their undergraduate and graduate education at UCLA. Veterans returning often have different perspectives than your typical student and face challenges specific to their backgrounds.
The Veteran’s Resource Office (VRO), within the Bruin Resource Center, is uniquely positioned to ensure that veterans at UCLA are provided community, mentoring, personalized guidance on Veteran Affairs processes and benefits, and the tools to succeed academically and personally.
Joining UCLA to support veteran students, Rosland Capital, a leading precious metals company based in Los Angeles, California, has created a fund to provide significant resources for veterans at UCLA. This critical support enables the VRO to address issues of readjustment to civilian and campus lifestyle, support mental and physical health, offer specialized orientation programs and support groups and provide financial and emergency aid that address veterans’ individual needs.
Rosland Capital has made community service a priority, especially in support of veterans. Rosland Capital has launched and participated in a variety of initiatives in support of our country’s veterans from Walk for Warriors 5K events to developing limited edition coins with proceeds supporting Fisher House Foundation and the Red Cross. Rosland Capital works to educate the public on the benefits of buying gold and silver as part of a diverse financial portfolio. The company also focuses on gold and precious metals-backed IRAs. Founded in 2008 by CEO Marin Aleksov, Rosland Capital has grown rapidly, and has recently expanded into the United Kingdom. More information is available on RoslandCapital.com.
UCLA Veteran’s Initiative was launched in 2012 to increase our understanding, appreciation and support of the veteran experience. We value the skills, assets and experiences veterans bring to the UCLA community and are committed to helping them achieve their goals and aspirations. UCLA is grateful to our supporters, as we come together to serve those who have served our country.
